New Year New Beginning

Happy New Year! Frohes Neues Jahr! Puttande Vazhtukel! Bonne Annee! Selamat Tahun Baru!
Last night at midnight church service, the preacher asked us to write down three things we would like to do this year. Everyone was busy writing away, some waiting for their turn to use the only pen they shared between 4 people, some thought 3 resolutions a year is too few. My darling who was sitting next to me, wrote 3 meaningful things he would love to achieve this year. There I was sitting down, twiddling my thumb. I was blank in my mind. I had no resolution for the new year. I vowed not to make vows that I can't keep. (Isn't that a vow!!?) Anyway I am tired of making promises which I only break after a few days. And what is the point of waiting till the end of the year to decide to do something. If it is something worth doing, then we would all do it immediately anyway. Not wait till the end of the year... blah blah blah. A little boy came up to me with his pencil box opened. It had pencils and colour pencils in various lengths and some blunt and others without a tip. He thought I was not writing cause I didn't have a pencil. I smiled at him and thanked him for his thoughtfulness. Picked up the shortest free IKEA pencil and pretended to scribble something on my piece of paper. OK... I am also a good actress.

Being a good actress, I lie at times.
I vowed never to vow. [lie numero uno]
I scribbled something pretending to write my 3 new year resolutions (goodness in church at the break of a new year too) [lie number two]
Started my own blog, which was kind of the new thing i wanted to do this year. So, I actually had a NEW YEAR RESOLUTION. [lie number three]

So this blog is kind of my Confessional.
